A Temporary Part Time Pharmacy Technician Position

This role is available at Bowral & District Hospital in the Southern Highlands community and is suitable for Pharmacy Technician Grade 1/2. It provides an opportunity to contribute to safe, effective, and timely medication management within a regional hospital setting.

Are You the Right Fit?

Reporting to the Director of Pharmacy and working alongside our clinical pharmacists and pharmacy technician, you will support pharmacy services through the following:

* Receipt, storage, distribution, and supply of medicines in accordance with NSW Health policies and procedures
* Dispensing activities under the supervision of a pharmacist, maintain appropriate records, manage imprest and ward stock
* Undertake clerical, ordering, and stock control duties to support efficient pharmacy operations.
* Experience with iPharmacy preferred
Selection Criteria
* Must hold appropriate qualification as per the Health Employees' (State) Award: Pharmacy Technician Grade 1 – certification III in Hospital and Community Pharmacy or Pharmacy Technician Grade 2 – Certificate IV in Hospital Pharmacy and Community Pharmacy.
* Describe your experience supporting the supply, distribution, and dispensing of medicines within a hospital or healthcare setting. Include examples of working under the supervision of a registered pharmacist, managing ward imprest stock and pharmaceutical inventory, and using policies, procedures, or electronic systems to ensure safe and accurate medication supply.
* Describe a situation where you managed multiple pharmacy or clerical tasks, maintained accuracy and attention to detail, and worked collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to support safe patient care.

Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's licence (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class licence (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) licence within three months of appointment. Learner's licences are not permitted.
