We are currently seeking an Operations Supervisor to join our diverse team. The Operations Supervisor will provide essential administrative support to both our logistics and administrative team and ensure smooth daily business operations are adhered to. With a focus on logistics support, planning, reporting and administration and customer service, this role is designed to form 2IC to the Branch Manager.
Job Description
Reporting directly to the Branch Manager, the key responsibilities of this role as however are not limited to the following:
* Fleet supervisor and planning across TAS, VIC and LCL for up to 20-30 drivers across the board
* Managing bookings across TAS, VIC and LCL
* Processing of run sheets and other relevant documentation
* Operational support to the wider team
* Fleet and yard truck maintenance requirements
* Maintaining fleet and operational compliance requirements
* Pallet control / tracking
* Assisting in the yard where necessary (LF license advantageous)
* Invoicing of suppliers
* Accounts payable / debtors administration
* Customer service and enquiries support
* Quoting
* Revenue reporting
Desired Skills and Experience
The desired candidate will obtain the below skills and experience:
* Experience within the transport industry
* Demonstrated experience in a similar position for a minimum of 3 years
* LF license is advantageous
* Ability to manage workloads, meet deadlines and be highly organized
* A proactive attitude, a high degree of initiative and a positive approach
* A team player who sees the value in supporting their peers with the ability to make decisions and lead a team where necessary
* Excellent communication skills
* Reliable and passionate
