Overview
This is a contract role that will provide support to the insurance business on a staff augmentation basis. The business is currently undergoing a risk uplift, and this role provides additional capacity to work through the resulting backlog alongside the existing risk team. Initial 3‐6 month commitment with likely extension and/or evolution into further role/s. The team requires experienced hands‐on the "doing", not a manager of the doers or redesign of the framework, so direct practical experience as an active L1 risk manager in a financial services context is necessary.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the risk team with the full range of Line 1 risk activities, including risk identification, assessment, monitoring, and reporting
* Contribute to governance and committee preparation as required
* Assist with incident and issue management, including documentation and escalation
* Engage with operational teams to support risk‐related queries and activities
* Flex across priorities as directed by the risk team lead
Qualifications
* Direct practical experience as an active L1 risk manager in a financial services context
* Experience in a life or general insurance business
* Experience in a superannuation‐owned or group structure
* Exposure to risk system platforms
