The OpportunityWe are seeking a proactive and skilled Information Management Officer to provide accurate, effective, and efficient records / information and archival management services. You will play a crucial role in supporting our organisation's commitment to robust information security and compliance.
This role is classified as Band 4 under the relevant Enterprise Agreement.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide appraisal, classification, registration, and distribution of incoming physical and digital mail into the approved Electronic Document and Records Management System (EDRMS).
* Undertake appraisal and sentencing of records following the Public Records Office Victoria (PROV) Retention and Disposal Authorities (RDAs).
* Perform quality scanning and registration of corporate information into the EDRMS, including assessment of digitised documents and application of correct metadata.
* Support staff with queries regarding information management processes and use of the EDRMS.
* Maintain operational statistics and contribute to quality reviews and improvements.
* Provide excellent, customer‑focused information management services.
What You Will Bring
Qualifications and Experience:
* Post‑secondary qualifications or relevant experience within a records / information management discipline.
EDRMS and IT Skills:
* Knowledge and experience in using an EDRMS and desktop productivity software such as Microsoft Office.
Records Management Knowledge:
* Understanding of records / information management and archival principles, including knowledge of the Public Records Act (Vic) and associated PROV Standards and Specifications.
Organisational Skills:
* Demonstrated ability to prioritise duties, undertake multiple requests effectively, and work under minimal supervision.
Interpersonal Skills:
* Well‑developed customer service skills for face‑to‑face, telephone, and email interactions, with strong written and verbal communication.
Digital Focus:
* Experience promoting a digital‑first working environment.
Additional Requirements:
* A current valid Victorian driver's licence.
