KDRM (ABN is a Brisbane-based design services company at the forefront of geospatial innovation, specialising in the development and delivery of spatial and non-spatial web applications. With a focus on cutting-edge web mapping solutions powered by technologies such as the ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript, Mapbox GL, Carto VL, OpenLayers, Leaflet, Google Maps, and our own web mapping API, we provide subscription-based services including intuitive web mapping applications, comprehensive data services, and a scalable map server offering ArcGIS-Server-Compatible REST endpoints. As a privately held small business, KDRM is growing and is aiming to expand our presence in Spain and Latin America to better serve international clients in industries like logistics, environmental management, and urban planning. Our commitment to excellence in project management, UI/UX design, rapid prototyping, and full lifecycle development ensures we empower businesses with reliable, user-centric geospatial tools that drive operational efficiency and informed decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
* Engaging with clients, end-users and product development teams to gather, clarify, and document business and system requirements
* Assessing and reviewing current operational processes, workflows, and digital systems to identify performance gaps and improvement opportunities.
* Proposing practical recommendations to streamline business operations and enhance system capabilities in line with organisational goals.
* Drafting comprehensive functional and technical documentation to support system upgrades, enhancements, or new implementations.
* Planning and coordinating ICT projects by managing schedules, resources, and budgets using established project management practices.
* Leading system testing activities, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring solutions meet required standards of functionality and quality.
* Developing training resources and delivering knowledge-sharing sessions for system users and operational staff.
* Supporting the enhancement and optimisation of websites, applications, and information systems through collaborative consultation with developers and application users.
Qualifications & Skills:
* Bachelor's degree or higher in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field
* Minimum of one year of relevant work experience
* Strong diagnostic, critical thinking, and decision-making skills, with the ability to translate business issues into technical solutions.
* Solid understanding of project delivery methodologies, such as Agile or Waterfall, and their application in ICT environments.
* Proficiency in modelling business processes, system workflows, and data structures to support effective system design.
* Experience in quality control assessments and processes when conducting assessments of web mapping application requirements and assisting the product development team
* Clear and confident communication skills, with the capacity to liaise between technical teams and business stakeholders.
* Experience in producing system documentation, user guides, and operational procedures.
* Ability to collaborate within cross-functional teams and manage competing priorities effectively.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 – $110,000.00 per year
