Academic Leader in Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia
We are seeking a senior veterinarian with specialist qualifications in veterinary anesthesia and analgesia to lead our team in teaching and research.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership and excellence in clinical service delivery and teaching of anaesthesia to our students. They will also contribute to the development of new ideas and solutions in collaboration with academic staff.
Working in a clinical training environment for final year veterinary students, you will have the opportunity to make an important contribution to the education of the next generation of veterinarians by involving students in case management and modelling the highest standards of clinical excellence and professional behaviour.
This role offers the chance to expand your specialist expertise in the clinic and classroom and contribute to the teaching, research, and community engagement efforts of the University.
To be successful in this position, you will need:
* Specialist qualifications in veterinary anesthesia and analgesia;
* Qualification in veterinary science acceptable for registration with the relevant veterinary surgeons board;
* Proven ability to lead a clinical referral service in veterinary anesthesia and analgesia;
* Evidence of primary and/or senior authorship on scientific publications within peer-reviewed journals;
* Evidence of strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as a member of clinical, teaching, and research teams.
