The SAP Basis Consultant provides hands‐on SAP technical and system administration support for an SAP ECC to S/4HANA brownfield conversion within a Government environment. The role supports system stability, performance, security, and availability across the conversion lifecycle and works closely with the SAP delivery team and customer infrastructure, cloud, network, and security teams to ensure a controlled and compliant transition to S/4HANA.

Salary: AUD 108,571 – 119,893 Annual Gross

• Provide hands‐on SAP Basis support across the S/4HANA brownfield conversion lifecycle, including build, conversion, testing, cutover, and stabilisation.
• Support administration of SAP system landscapes, including Development, Quality, Pre Production, and production environments.
• Assist in ensuring SAP systems meet government security, performance, and availability requirements.
• Support technical activities for ECC to S/4HANA system conversion, including system readiness and technical checks, conversion rehearsals and mock runs, cutover and rollback preparation.
• Provide Basis support during SUM‐based conversion activities, including downtime coordination.
• Support system stability during testing cycles, go live, and hyper‐care.
• Configure and support SAP Cloud ALM and/or SAP Solution Manager for system and application monitoring, incident, defect, and change support, technical readiness and health checks.
• Support integration of Cloud ALM / SolMan with testing and operational processes.
• Assist with transition activities from Solution Manager to Cloud ALM, where applicable.
• Work closely with customer infrastructure, cloud hosting, network, security, database, and operating system support teams.
• Support coordination of activities related to system provisioning and refreshes, transport management, access controls and security hardening.
• Assist with infrastructure readiness for testing, cutover, and go live.
• Support SAP user administration and access coordination in line with security policies.
• Assist with transport management, batch scheduling, and system refresh activities.
• Monitor system performance and availability and raise issues proactively.
• Support audits, IRAP activities, and assurance reviews by providing required technical evidence.
• Strong hands‐on experience as an SAP Basis Consultant on large SAP landscapes.
• Experience working with SAP NetWeaver, HANA database coordination, and OS/platform dependencies.
• Practical experience with SAP Cloud ALM and/or SAP Solution Manager, including technical and application monitoring, incident and change support, and system health and readiness checks.
• Understanding of Cloud ALM usage within S/4HANA programs.
• Experience supporting SAP systems in Australian public sector environments.
• Strong awareness of security and compliance controls, audit and assurance requirements, controlled access and change management processes.

• Strong hands‐on experience as an SAP Basis Consultant on large SAP landscapes.
• Proven experience supporting SAP S/4HANA brownfield conversion projects.
• Experience working with SAP NetWeaver, HANA database coordination, and OS/platform dependencies.
• Practical experience with SAP Cloud ALM and/or SAP Solution Manager, including technical and application monitoring, incident and change support, system health and readiness checks.
• Understanding of Cloud ALM usage within S/4HANA programs.
• Experience supporting SAP systems in Australian public sector environments.
• Strong awareness of security and compliance controls, audit and assurance requirements, controlled access and change management processes.

• 6–10 years of SAP Basis experience.
• Demonstrated experience supporting ECC to S/4HANA system conversions.
• Experience working with customer infrastructure and hosting teams.
• SAP Basis and/or SAP S/4HANA certifications are desirable.

• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Experience leading distributed, onsite‐offshore delivery teams.
