CSBS Group is seeking experienced Support Workers to assist a 62-year-old female in Gympie.
This participant has had a right-side stroke resulting in immobility on her left side. Support Workers will be required to provide:
1. Physical assistance for transfers and mobilising
2. Personal care supports
3. Stoma care
4. Meal preparation and domestic tasks
5. Transport for community access, appointments, shopping, and social participation
All successful applicants should share shift times to ensure fairness. Supports are provided 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, including passive sleepover support.
About you
We are particularly interested in applicants with a minimum of 24 months supporting individuals in complex SIL environments. Clinical skills are desirable, and EN/RN/AINs seeking employment as Support Workers are encouraged to apply.
A tertiary qualification, ideally a minimum of Certificate III in Disability or Aged Care, is highly desirable.
Proficiency in supporting individuals with:
* Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
* Stoma care
Relevant probity items required
* Open Queensland Driver's Licence
* A reliable motor vehicle with comprehensive insurance
* Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
* A reliable smartphone with data
* Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module 'Quality, Safety and You'
