The Role: As an Orikan Parking Officer, you'll be the face of local mobility. Every day, you'll help improve parking equity and public safety by:
* Patrolling designated areas to monitor parking compliance
* Issuing infringement notices in line with Victorian road rules and the aligning council regulations
* Explaining road rules to residents and visitors
* Recording enforcement activities and keeping accurate logs
* Reporting incidents, hazards, or public safety concerns
* Representing council with professionalism, honestyand integrity
Desired Skills and Experience
What We're Looking For: If you're someone who blends empathy with authority, and you thrive on independence, then we want to hear from you. Key traits we are looking for include:
* A strong sense of fairness and respect for community needs
* Resilience and diplomacy in challenging interactions
* Integrity and sound decision-making under pressure
* Excellent time management and attention to detail
* Basic computer literacy and strong interpersonal skills
* Current driver's licence (preferred - dependent on client requirements and location)
* Experience in customer service or enforcement (preferred but not essential)
* A willingness to learn the ins and outs of road safety and parking regulations
* Flexibility to work across a 7-day rotating roster
* Weekend, public holiday and shift allowances where applicable
