Job Description
Professional Civil Engineer (Civil / Site Infrastructure) – 2 to 5 years post-graduate
We're looking for a developing civil engineer to support the delivery of site infrastructure design packages across a range of projects. You'll contribute to stormwater, earthworks and basic water/wastewater designs, coordinate with other disciplines, and build strong technical fundamentals under the guidance of senior engineers.
What you'll be doing
* Perform specific and limited portions of broader civil/site infrastructure assignments under moderate supervision, to agreed budget and programme.
* Gather, interpret and correlate engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.
* Work on detailed or routine design tasks involving calculations, modelling and relatively simple tests/checks.
* Support delivery of key infrastructure elements, including:
o Stormwater design (pit and pipe layouts, hydraulic checks, minor drainage design)
o Bulk earthworks support (grading plans, levels coordination, basic cut/fill inputs)
o Basic water and wastewater infrastructure (reticulation layouts, tie‐ins, design checks)
o WSUD support where required (e.g., contributing to concept layouts and design documentation).
* Propose practical approaches to new problems, escalating early where needed and applying learnings from previous tasks.
* Identify discrepancies in calculations, drawings, models or inputs and raise them promptly for resolution.
* Coordinate with internal disciplines and external stakeholders on interfaces (services coordination, site constraints, constructability).
* Provide day‐to‐day support and informal guidance to graduates/entry‐level engineers (as appropriate).
