The Role: Your Impact and Responsibilities
As a Project Manager, you will bring together various functions to ensure seamless project delivery. You will be the primary customer support interface, providing transparency and resolving issues before they impact the critical path.
* Scope and Kick‐off: Agreeing on work scopes with internal stakeholders and customers, representing the business at project kick‐off meetings.
* Documentation and Tracking: Establishing standard project documentation to ensure transparency against program milestones and customer demands.
* ERP and Engineering Liaison: Working with engineering teams to create bills of materials and entering project costs and details into the ERP system.
* Execution Management: Monitoring all activities to ensure deadlines are met for contracted deliverables while resolving resource constraints or internal conflicts.
* Stakeholder Communication: Providing accurate status updates, schedules, and financial forecasts to both internal leadership and external clients.
* Vendor Documentation: Submitting critical engineering drawings, performance test data, and regulatory information on time.
* Continuous Improvement: Participating in Practical Process Improvement (PPI) projects using Root‐Cause Counter‐Measure (RCCM) tools to close performance gaps.
Skills and Experience Required
We are seeking a candidate who combines technical knowledge with exceptional project rigour.
Qualifications and Experience:
* A tertiary degree in Science or Engineering, Project Management certification, or equivalent industry experience.
* Demonstrated success in setting goals, managing risks, and meeting deadlines in a high‐pressure environment.
* Proven experience in developing strong customer relationships and proactively anticipating client needs.
Technical Skills and Attributes:
* Ability to collaborate across diverse teams and motivate stakeholders toward a common goal.
* Proficiency in using project planning tools and Microsoft applications to communicate critical paths.
* Experience with ERP systems and internal project management software.
* Sound knowledge of commercial contracts, terms, and conditions.
* Knowledge of the mining or industrial processing industry is highly advantageous.
Special Conditions: This role is based in Adelaide, though some travel may be required to meet project or customer needs.
