We are seeking an experienced and highly detail-oriented Bookkeeper/ Payroll Officer to support a busy wholesale supplier in Ipswich. This role is suited to a mature professional who takes pride in accuracy, consistency, and working collaboratively with external accountants. This is a casual role under Labour Hire that will lead permanent position for the right candidate. Salary will be determined by skill level.
You will be responsible for end-to-end bookkeeping and payroll, ensuring financial records are accurate, compliant, and maintained to a high standard. This position requires strong systems knowledge and the ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparing and posting journal entries;
* End-to-end payroll processing and reconciliation;
* Working closely with external accountants;
* Maintaining accurate financial records and reports;
* Experience working with managing wholesale and inventory accounting;
* Ensuring compliance with payroll, superannuation, and reporting obligations;
* General bookkeeping and accounts support as required.
About You
* Extremely high attention to detail and strong numerical accuracy;
* Proven experience in a Bookkeeping and Payroll position;
* Strong working knowledge of:
* MYOB AccountRight
* Employment Hero
* Netfleet
* Experience within a wholesale and inventory environment;
* Reliable, high level of organisation and able to work independently;
* Professional communicator with a methodical and systematic approach to work.
