To support our expanding operations, McCullochs are looking for a reliable and hardworking Yard Hand to join our team. This position would be perfect for someone who enjoys outdoor work and thrives in a practical, hands-on environment.
Role Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean, well-organised and hazard-free yard to support safety and operational efficiency
- Conduct regular housekeeping duties (sweeping, tidying, waste removal) to eliminate clutter and maintain a safe workspace
- Perform routine operational tasks such as cleaning tools, washing equipment, and preparing orders for transport
- Assist with receiving, inspecting, and storing incoming stock, and pulling parts/equipment for customer orders and service technicians
- Ensure company vehicles and equipment are cleaned, fuelled, and stocked to support daily field service
- Provide logistical support by aiding in the loading, unloading, and transport of necessary stock and equipment
- Help facilitate smooth delivery and pickup operations, along with assisting customers in a professional manner
- Strictly follow all company quality, health, and safety policies to maintain a safe working workplace
Role Requirements
- Robust work ethic and a positive attitude
- Physically fit and able to perform manual handling and repetitive tasks
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions and environments
- Basic mechanical knowledge (advantageous)
- Forklift licence (or willingness to obtain)
