Instrumental Music Specialist Role

The successful candidate will be an experienced conductor of double reed ensembles, with excellent performance skills gained through training or experience in a wide range of musical styles. They will have strong communication and organisational skills, as well as the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Tutoring instrumental students from beginner to advanced levels (VCE and Diploma)
* Liaising with the Director of Music and relevant department heads on student progress, repertoire, student assessment, and performances
* Fostering excellence in music performance in examinations, recitals, concerts, and other performance activities
* Directing music ensembles as required by the Director of Music
Requirements:
The successful candidate must be an experienced Oboe specialist familiar with AMEB and VCE syllabi. A current Working With Children Check (WWCC) is mandatory, and Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) accreditation is desirable. Keyboard skills are also desirable but not essential.
