About the role
We are looking for multiple HR‐licensed drivers to operate our Agitator trucks across the Perth Metro region. Driving a concrete agitator truck for Heidelberg Materials Australia is more than just going from A to B and back again. Our Agitator drivers provide high levels of customer service to our clients receiving our products, becoming the face of our business. As an Agi Driver, you will be making multiple deliveries throughout the day and interacting with lots of different people. Every day will be different; there is no routine about this role.
Key details
Most days will start between 4 am and 6 am, and drivers can work over 10 hours per day, amounting to around ***** hours per week. Saturday work is generally available, paid at overtime rates. We pay a base rate, and once you exceed your regular hours in a day the first two hours after that are paid at time and a half. If you go more than two hours overtime in a day, the overtime is double time. Meal allowances are generally paid after 10 hours in one shift. We provide cutting‐edge technology to keep you safe while driving, help you map routes, and track loads. All new starters go through a 10‐day training program before driving independently.
About you
* Minimum HR license (essential); previous driving experience preferred
* You enjoy meeting people and chatting with them when you're onsite
* You prefer variety in your work life; no two days are the same on an Agi truck
* You take pride in the appearance of your truck – keep it clean and presentable, as you are a mobile billboard for the company
* Able to pass a pre‐employment medical, including a drug and alcohol test (random testing is also conducted on all Heidelberg Materials sites)
* Some trucks have driver weight limits; you may need to meet a specified weight requirement for safety reasons
