We are regularly tendering for works in the Brisbane and greater QLD area and are seeking expressions of interest from experienced professional Civil Project Managers in the road construction and maintenance industry. These individuals should be willing to commit to assignments for a period of approximately 1–2 years with possible ongoing extensions and other projects.
Responsibilities
* Budgeting, programming, monitoring expenditure, controlling resources and reviewing priorities.
* Manage labour, plant, materials and subcontract within budget and time constraints.
* Undertake various contract management activities including client liaison.
* Procure road‐making materials and project services within guidelines.
* Implement PM techniques and systems in accordance with systems and processes.
* Submit reports and provide information to management within timeframes.
* Train and guide project staff on specifications and construction processes.
* Contribute to the estimating process for bids or offers.
* Maintain a high standard in traffic management.
* Strong experience and knowledge of TMR Technical Specifications.
* Working knowledge of 3PCM, SAP, P6 or other similar project management packages is an advantage.
* Strong written, verbal communication and computer literacy skills.
* Experience with QMS and their effective application on construction projects.
* Experience with Project Management Systems, including Safety and Environment.
Qualifications
* Possession of a degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent Civil Engineering qualification accepted by the Institution of Engineers Australia as a full Member (MIEAust). Alternatives such as a Bachelor of Tech/Civil may be acceptable if accompanied by relevant work experience.
* Prior TMR Pre‐Qualification as a PMC01 would be a distinct advantage.
The hours are variable at 40 per week and above, and longer hours or weekend work may be required to suit workload. The role can be based in Brisbane and/or greater QLD, but some work away in regional or remote locations may be required.
You must have the right to work in Australia, with well‐developed interpersonal and consultative skills, at least 5 years of prior Australian experience in the Civil Roads Infrastructure Industry working with QLD Councils, DTMR and/or any Australian State Road Authority, directly or indirectly, and must be a strictly Australian resident already living in Australia.
You must also possess a current driver's licence.
