Central Highlands Regional Council is currently seeking a Commercial Property Support Officer to join the Property & Legal team on a Full Time (Maximum Term until October 2026) basis. For the right candidate, there could be flexibility in hours of work.
In this role, you will assist with the leasing and licensing of Council owned commercial land, including commercial lease management, compilation and maintenance of Councils' lease register (freehold and trusteeship) lease and licence program planning and providing technical advice and reporting on land transactions.

You will provide high level of support to the team by:
* Assisting with negotiations and transactions (e.g., disposals and acquisitions) of land for commercial, community or economic purposes.
* Assisting with developing commercial lease agreements, management agreements and land management plans.
* Ensuring projects are managed and delivered in accordance with action plans, project plans, budget and timeframes.
* Administering customer requests and assisting the department with systems and process improvements.
* Supporting the coordination of property maintenance.
* Assisting with the review and processing housing applications.
* Drafting various documents including lease agreements and notices.
To be considered for this opportunity, you will need to possess:
* A current driver's licence.
* Experience with commercial property matters.
* Experience handling customer requests as they relate to commercial property.
* Demonstrated passion for commercial property.
* Experience in, and demonstrated passion for, property in a local government environment.
