Overview
Reporting to the Field Service Supervisors, the Field Service Plant Mechanic will assist in diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing Caterpillar products in the Karratha Region, visiting customer sites, carrying out repairs, and managing work orders while maintaining a safe work environment.
What you'll do
* Perform scheduled maintenance, servicing and inspections of mobile mining, earthmoving, and ancillary plant equipment.
* Diagnose and fault‐finding using CAT diagnostic technology.
* Interpret machine data and maintain efficiency on all repairs.
* Implement systems upgrades, product improvement plans, and product support programs.
* Uphold Westrac's SPARC values and Lifesaving Rules to ensure a positive and safe work environment.
Skills & Experience
* Australian recognised Heavy Mobile Plant Trade Certificate with similar post‐trade experience.
* Valid Australian Driver's License and LR license (minimum) is essential.
* High Risk Work Licence (LF, DG, WP, WAH).
* Refrigerant Handling License (preferred).
* Proficient in diagnostic and fault‐finding through CAT SIS & CAT ET.
* Strong commitment to continuous improvement principles.
* Demonstrated ability to work under pressure in an isolated and remote environment.

Location & Schedule
Location: Karratha Region – 10/4 (10 days on, 4 off) 10 hrs each day, plus 30 mins break. Housing package may be offered for a suitable applicant to relocate.
