A key education opportunity in a permanent part-time role!The roleThis is a great opportunity for a registered nurse to join our fun and collaborative Theatre team.
We are looking for an enthusiastic nurse who is passionate about teaching and working across varied specialities.
As a small operating theatre complex, you will be integral to the future development of the team.This is a permanent part-time role (32 hours fortnight) that offers flexibility with shift times and working days.You will:Work closely with the managers and staff to deliver high-quality education to our team across scrub/scout, recovery, anaesthetics, and CSSD.Provide support to new staff and graduates.Work with staff requiring clinical support.Deliver face-to-face education sessions.Your Skills and ExperienceMinimum 5 years' experience as a Registered Nurse in Operating Theatre.Postgraduate course in operating theatres.Experience in Scrub/Scout and Anaesthetics/recovery desirable.Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or working towards).Experience in competency assessing nursing staff.Proven experience as a preceptor and completion of a preceptor course (or willing to undertake).Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Proven to work effectively within a team and independently.Demonstrates own commitment to ongoing professional development.Experience as a Clinical Nurse Educator desirable.Remuneration: On offer is a base hourly rate from $50.29 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.What's in it for you?Professional Advancement: Recognition, Rewards, Professional Development, and Employee referral programs.
