About the role
Due to an internal promotion we are looking for a positive and enthusiastic Finance Officer to join our team in Casuarina.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role will play a key part in supporting the day‐to‐day finance operations of the organisation.
Key responsibilities
* Daily bank reconciliations
* Processing supplier invoices, payments and accounts payable transactions
* Raising invoices, allocating receipts, debtor follow‐up and accounts receivable management
* Processing employee expense claims and reimbursements
* Supporting month‐end processes, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
* Assisting with finance reporting and month‐end deliverables
About you
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Positive attitude and self‐motivated with the capacity to work effectively as a team or autonomously
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail
* Previous experience in bookkeeping and AP/AR, including invoice processing, reconciliations and debtor/creditor management
* Experience using accounting software such as Xero or similar (desirable)
* A Certificate IV in Accounting & Bookkeeping, Diploma of Accounting or a qualification currently being undertaken (highly regarded)
* A genuine interest in surfing or the broader surfing community will be highly regarded
