Overview
The RC Driller plays a pivotal role in the execution of high-quality drilling programs working on a 2/2 roster across projects in the Goldfields. This role requires not only technical expertise but a strong commitment to safety, respectful workplace behaviours, and collaboration with the geological team to ensure drilling meets sample quality and geological interpretation standards.
Responsibilities
* Operate RC drill rigs productively in accordance with safe work instructions to drilling projects
* Ensure all drilling meets quality standards, including sample recovery, contamination control, and depth accuracy
* Provide feedback to geology teams on ground conditions, sample issues, or observed lithology during drilling
* Direct supervision of the trainee Drillers and Drilling Offsiders
* Perform minor maintenance tasks and basic troubleshooting to ensure equipment reliability and minimise downtime, escalating major issues promptly
* Maintain equipment logs, service schedules, and shift reports
* Set the standard for safety first and promote a positive team environment
About You
* HR drivers' licence (minimum)
* 5 years RC Drilling experience (minimum)
* Hold Certificate III in Drilling Operations (or higher)
* Experience in working in remote areas
* Schedule 26 Qualification (desirable but not required)
* Certificate IV Training & Assessment (desirable)
