About this role

In this position you will play a key role in developing workforce reform policy priorities of the state and territory and Commonwealth health departments. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic policy environment and contribute to growing the health workforce needed to support the Australian community.

The Health Workforce Taskforce leads national health ministers' workforce priorities and is Chaired by the Director General, Department of Health, Western Australia. You will support key areas on the Taskforce policy agenda through research and analysis, drafting briefings, policy papers and communications updates, coordinating key projects and events and working collaboratively with stakeholders. You will work in a supportive workforce policy team located in the NSW Ministry of Health which manages the secretariat on behalf of all health jurisdictions.

Crown Clerk 9/10, starting salary from $129,464 - $142,665 plus Super and annual leave loading, with a 35-hour work week.

About you

* Experience in research and policy analysis to support high quality reports, briefs and correspondence
* Excellent collaboration and stakeholder engagement capability to work with state, territory, and Commonwealth colleagues and other stakeholders on health workforce reform strategies and projects
* Excellent organisational, administrative and time management skills, to ensure the timely delivery of Taskforce projects, meetings and other business activities
* The ability to work in a small dynamic team environment
* Experience with government policy processes and the Australian health workforce with desirable experience in or knowledge of areas such accreditation, professions' strategies, regulation and the National Registration and Accreditation Scheme for health professions and innovation.
