Residential Care Officer
The salary for this position will be competitive plus super.
Work Location: In person.
We are looking for applicants who demonstrate the following:

Key Responsibilities and Duties:
* Provide support and information to clients, guidance on emotional, recreational, health or other social welfare matters.
* Support a diverse range of clients, assessing clients' needs and planning, developing and implementing educational, training and support programs (conditions included).
* Help supervise residents within their community, in home or group home and assist in social and living skills training to encourage independence.
* Ensure monitoring and reporting on the progress of clients.
* Assist in serving meals and performing housekeeping duties.
Additional Requirements:
* Ability to perform independently with people with disabilities on a one-to-one basis encouraging clients to develop personal, community and social relationships.
* Work cooperatively and effectively with a range of professionals and services to enhance client care.
* Relate to the community and local support groups or networks to encourage activities and training for people with disability.
* Educate clients' behavioural standards by compiling disciplinary reports and assisting in the implementation of remedial measures.
* Maintain contemporary professional conduct, maturity and commitment to ongoing professional development.

Required Qualifications and Skills:
* The entry requirement for this occupation is an AQF Diploma, Certificate in Disabilities or higher qualification, or at least 1 year full-time relevant experience.
* In some instances, relevant experience is required in addition to the formal qualification.
* Up to date First Aid Certificate.
* Valid Working with Children's Check.
* Up to date Australian Federal Police Check.
* NDIS Worker Screening Check.
