The Daracon Group is comprised of multiple businesses that collectively provide an effective and integrated civil construction service to a wide cross section of public and private clients. A rare opportunity exists for an experienced and highly motivated Site Engineer to join our Hunter Civil Team on a permanent basis.
This role will initially be working on one of our key projects in the Upper Hunter, however following completion of this project the on-going works will be in and around the Newcastle and Hunter Valley Areas. Ideally you would live in the local area, however we would be open to considering applicants from further afield. For those required to live away for the duration of projects, accommodation and meal allowance would be provided. This is an exciting and diverse project which will give excellent opportunities for the right candidate to progress and advance their skills within a very supportive team.
About the role:Liaise with Project Engineers and Managers to ensure jobs are on schedule on siteMonitoring key construction requirements to ensure they are achieved in line with specificationsImplementation of prompt and safe corrective action on site if requiredEnsuring that the quality requirements of the client are adhered to and that project procedures are followedMaintaining all relevant project document control and records as well as assessment of risks and hazards involved in tasks, and methods to manage the hazards in order to prevent incidents, injury and damage
To be considered for this role you will possess the following:Minimum 3-4 years experience‘Hard Dollar’ contract experienceSome experience in Civil construction, ideally with a focus on roadworksSome knowledge of project quality managementClass C Drivers LicenceStrong organisational skills in order to be able to manage time and plan effectively in a fast paced, diverse and ever-changing environmentExceptional communication skills as one of your key strengths with the ability to negotiate and influence others at a variety of levels of the businessAbility to work well as part of a team as well as autonomously
