Freelancer.com is on the hunt for a Marketing Communications Coordinator to join the wider Marketing & Communications team. In the Marketing Communications Coordinator role, you will support both marketing and public relations, including responsibilities such as media relations, assist on Investor relations matters, content development, creative ideation, leading campaigns, social media content creation and executing brand marketing programs for Freelancer.com group and affiliates. We're looking for a marketing all-rounder who has a creative, entrepreneurial mindset. This is a great opportunity for anyone who has worked in an agency or in-house at a brand who wants to get global brand exposure. Although we're a global company, we're a startup at heart with a flat hierarchy, meaning you'll be able to get direct access to senior leadership and have an opportunity to manage and lead any creative media ideas you might have. On a typical day, you may be working on a mix of the following: Brand Marketing Work in collaboration with the team to develop communication strategies and marketing plans Lead content marketing and content creation initiatives Design and implement consumer and B2B marketing campaigns Develop social media content plans, as well as create social content Public Relations Support the development of media materials, including media releases, media pitches, award submissions, media lists, briefing materials Manage media requests and inquiries Secure and manage media interview opportunities Contribute to weekly reports and media coverage tracking Research media ideas and journalists Liaise with journalists to create media attention and promote the company And when work is done, hang out with the team in our in-house, fully-stocked bar with Harbour views! Qualifications A degree in communications, marketing, journalism or similar fields 2-3 years+ of experience in a similar role - marketing, PR or social media Exceptional writing and interpersonal communication skills Great analytical and reporting skills Reads the news - is up to date on current trends and happenings Bonus points: Ability to work effectively on own initiative and within a team environment Proven track record of landing quality media hits Self-motivation, with a proven record of over-achieving targets & managing tight deadlines A passion for technology Benefits A meritocratic culture with the ability to take ownership and fast track your career.
