Job Role Overview
The Youth Worker is a critical team member who plays a pivotal role in supporting the growth and development of young people.
Main Responsibilities:
* To provide high-quality support to young people, ensuring their needs are met and they feel valued and respected.
* To work collaboratively with other staff members, providing expertise and guidance to ensure a cohesive and effective team approach.
* To identify and develop opportunities for young people, promoting their social inclusion and wellbeing.
* To contribute to the development and implementation of programs and activities that promote youth engagement and participation.
Selection Criteria include:
* Strong understanding of and commitment to Catholic educational values.
* Relevant qualifications at Degree, Diploma or Certificate level with significant experience in social work/youth work.
* Proven track record of working effectively with local Aboriginal communities, demonstrating a deep understanding of their unique challenges and opportunities.
* Current Working with Children Clearance notice and Unrestricted Driver's Licence.
