Due to growth across all of our affiliated businesses, we are now seeking a Group Financial Controller to manage the finance functions for all entities. In this newly created role, you will report to the CFO and lead a small team from processing accounts through to financial reporting and analysis.
Responsibilities
Oversee month end processes across the group and prepare financial reports (including consolidation) and management reporting analysis;
Preparation of annual budgets and forecasts;
Preparation of management reports for the Leadership Team to assist with decision making across the group;
Lead cost reviews and driver analysis to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiencies;
Initiate and implement business improvement projects from time to time;
Ensure all tax and compliance requirements are fulfilled;
Review relevant legal contracts and agreements as required;
Manage, develop and mentor a small accounting team and foster strong relationships with stakeholders across the entities.
Qualifications
Accounting qualifications (CA or CPA) and experience in a senior accounting position in a commercial environment;
Thrive in a diverse and busy environment as you will be working across several entities;
Excellent communication skills to work with our different functions;
Ability to contribute to the strategies and policies to achieve business growth objectives;
Strong management accounting and financial analysis based experience;
Advanced skills with the Microsoft Office suite (in particular Excel);
Ability to analyse and problem solve;
Experience in leading and developing a small accounting team;
Customer focus with strong relationship building skills;
Strong skills in presentation and ability in influencing stakeholders;
Keen to learn, explore and adopt the use of technology for better business management;
Experience with Power BI/SQL Server will be highly regarded.
