As Senior Manager, Design and Delivery, you will play a pivotal leadership role in shaping and delivering complex, high-impact national infrastructure programs that advance Australia’s research capabilities.
In this strategic role, you will drive the co-design and delivery of digital research infrastructure in collaboration with government, industry, and research partners across the country. You’ll lead a dynamic team of professionals, champion cross-sectoral partnerships, and apply your deep expertise in project or program management to initiatives that unlock data-driven breakthroughs in health, environment, humanities and beyond.

Key responsibilities will include :
o Lead the strategic co-design and delivery of multi-partner digital research infrastructure initiatives, ensuring alignment with the ARDC’s national priorities and long-term strategy.
o Foster and manage strong partnerships with government, research institutions, and industry stakeholders to accelerate the delivery of impactful, cross-disciplinary research programs.
o Provide expert program and project management oversight, applying best-practice methodologies to guide complex initiatives from conception through to successful execution.
o Build and lead a high-performing, collaborative team, promoting a culture of trust, innovation, and continuous improvement aligned with ARDC values.

The Australian Research Data Commons (ARDC) drives the development of national digital research infrastructure that provides Australian researchers with competitive advantage through data.
We facilitate programs and partnerships that provide the research community and industry access to nationally significant, data-intensive digital research infrastructure, platforms, skills and collections of high-quality data. We also support researchers and their organisations with digital research services, most of which are either available to all or to merit-based researchers at no cost.

About You
o Brings extensive experience in leading complex, multi-stakeholder programs or projects within digital research infrastructure or a related field.
o Demonstrated expertise in areas such as data governance, informatics, software tools, secure digital environments, or emerging technologies.
o Proven ability to influence, collaborate and build trusted relationships across government, academia, and industry sectors.
o A supportive and empowering leader with a strong track record in building high-performing, values-driven teams.
o Skilled in navigating dynamic environments, balancing competing priorities, and solving problems with a strategic lens.
o Confident in leveraging digital systems and data to support program planning, delivery, and performance monitoring
The successful candidate may be required to complete a number of pre-employment checks, including right to work in Australia and a criminal check.
