About the Role
Join the Grampians Health catering team as a Trade Cook and utilise your knowledge and practical experience in large‐scale food productions! You will be responsible for the preparation and cooking of food, including the use of conventional cooking techniques and cook‐chill systems to meet the needs of a thriving health service, all while adhering to safety and hygiene standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparation and cooking of food, including the use of conventional cooking techniques and cook‐chill systems.
* Work alongside apprentices, trainees, work experience students and other cooks.
* Adherence to infection control policies and procedures as identified in the Grampians health services Infection Control Manuals.
Skills & Experience
* Accredited certificate in basic food safety practices (HLTFSE001).
* Experience in large production cooking.
* Knowledge in safe food handling and storage of foods (HACCP principals) as well as following effective workflows and production times.
