About the role

We are seeking an experienced environmental professional to be based in Armidale, Newcastle, or Brisbane office. Key accountabilities of the role are :

* prepare environmental assessments, environmental impact statements, environmental management plans, environmental reports (including audit, monitoring, and compliance reports) and conduct environmental compliance activities for a diverse range of projects.
* analyse environmental data and information to assess environmental risks and identify and advise on mitigation strategies, plans and programs to address environmental impacts of a development project.
* ensure that projects and operations comply with environmental legislation and approvals and provide guidance on environmental regulations and compliance.
* work collaboratively with teams across the business and client representatives to achieve project objectives, contribute to project meetings and update Project Managers on project status and risks. manage, prepare and provide expert advice on environmental assessments, environmental impact statements, environmental management systems, and auditing and compliance.
* participate in internal quality reviews and provide feedback to ensure accuracy, clarity, and compliance of project deliverables and ensure that all deliverables, including environmental reports, assessments, and management plans, meet high-quality standards.
* complete tasks in accordance with agreed timeframes, budgets, scope of work and outcomes.
* contribute to the preparation of fee proposals and tender submissions.
* foster effective communication and teamwork across the business.
* adopt a customer-centric partnership approach, ensuring services meet or exceed client expectations.
* stay up to date with emerging trends, regulations, and best practices in the environmental consulting field.
* build and maintain strong client relationships.

About You – Skills and Experience

* hold a bachelor's degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, planning or other relevant subject.
* have 3-4 plus years' experience in environmental management.
* offer expertise in one or more of the disciplines identified above.
* be proficient in project, time, and team management.
* have experience in managing successful client relationships.
