Job Description:
As a Biostatistician, you will play a crucial role in advancing infectious disease research. Your expertise will be instrumental in study design, data analysis, and interpretation of research findings, directly impacting global health outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
* Design and Analyze Clinical Trials: Contribute to study design, sample size calculations, protocol development, and statistical analysis plans for cutting-edge clinical research.
* Conduct Statistical Analyses: Perform analyses for trials, observational studies, and laboratory experiments, preparing clear reports and contributing to research publications.
* Teach and Train: Develop and deliver statistical training to enhance the skills of researchers and students at the Doherty Institute.
* Collaborate and Communicate: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, conveying complex statistical concepts to diverse audiences and contributing to grant applications.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* A master's degree in statistics, biostatistics, or an equivalent professional qualification.
* Demonstrated experience in designing and analyzing clinical trials and observational studies.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
