We’re looking for a talented and driven Equipment Inspector & Inventory Clerk to join our results-focused team in Yatala on a full-time permanent basis.
The ideal candidate is someone who is passionate about site operations, equipment management, and creating seamless customer experience.
About the Role
As our Equipment Inventory Clerk, you’ll join the Detailed Equipment Information (DEI) team, reporting to the Equipment Manager. This hands-on role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with customers and has a keen eye for detail.
Most importantly a willingness to learn and a great work attitude is what we are looking for. A background in mechanics or working with equipment is desirable. However, training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
* First point of contact for customer service queries and issues related to equipment inventory.
* Accurately administer the shipping/receiving documentation (e.g. customs, transport, taxes, etc. if applicable) related to the movement of the equipment to and from the yard of the auction site, including documentation processing within our internal systems (e.g. SaleSite, AS/400, etc.), where required.
* Accurately gather and verify equipment inventory information (eg. contract proofs, equipment additions, serial numbers, etc.).
* Identify and record equipment components, accessories and asset details.
* Verify equipment descriptions and implement quality controls, based on our Equipment Standards Manual.
* Perform visual inspection (e.g wear points, damage, hour meter readings, etc) and functional testing including basic operations of assets)
* Assist the Sales team with appraisals and write-ups in the field between peak periods, as required.
* Responsible for assessing equipment through inspections and composing photos and maintaining accuracy to a high level.
* Perform various yard tasks to support the pre & post auction functions including level checks, loading and unloading and yard display
* Promote a culture where the health and safety of our employees and customers is top priority for all.
* Flexible and willing to work overtime during peak periods.

What You’ll Bring
* 1-3 years of experience working in a yard, warehousing or equipment industry related role
* Proficiency with MS Office package
* You must be process orientated. Hands on and ready to roll your sleeves in in the yard & office to succeed in this role.
* Excellent organizational skills and ability to work with internal stakeholders
* Strong customer service focus, and willingness to work apart of a team
* Top notch written & verbal communication skills
* Strong time management skills, with the ability to multi-task effectively and prioritize essential work.
