The Maintenance fitters are responsible for all repairs, installations and maintenance of machinery and equipment across our Wodonga site. Working on the afternoon shift the Maintenance fitter will have shift times of Monday to Thursday 3pm to 1am.
The maintenance fitters work on:
* Breakdowns: running repairs and trouble shooting of issues as they occur throughout the day
* Shutdowns: planned shutdowns of machines and equipment for servicing.
This will include;
* The timely action and satisfactory completion of machine breakdowns
* Play a key role within a team focused on the development and execution of efficient preventative maintenance practices on the site
* Provide technical support to the Maintenance and Production teams
* Following safe work practices at all times and adhering to Opal's values, procedures and policies
* Assist with ordering components from external suppliers as necessary with appropriate approval
* Respond to specific requests regarding the details of repair and/or maintenance to equipment on a technical basis
* Provide reasonable support outside of normal working hours if required (reasonable overtime)
The successful candidate will have the ability to demonstrate strong fault finding and communication skills and have the ability to problem solve and show initiative.
