About us:
Central Queensland Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs Service provides specialist mental health, substance and alcohol related care to residents of Gladstone, Capricorn Coast, Rockhampton, Central Highlands and Banana areas (catchments in excess of a population of 250,000) with services located in each area.
About the role:
Utilise personal lived experience of mental illness to model recovery strategies under general direction, to facilitate the development, planning and delivery of support services to consumers of the mental health service.
About you:
* There is a genuine occupational requirement for the incumbent to have a personal lived experience of mental illness and recovery and/or caring for someone with lived experience of mental illness and recovery.
* While not mandatory the following would be highly desirable:
* Applicants who hold or are working towards a Certificate IV in Mental Health Peer Work or equivalent.
* Experience working within a public mental health service or the NGO sector.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $57,088 is comprised of:
* An hourly rate between $ $50.46 p.h.
* 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
