ABOUT THE ROLE
We're looking for a Sales & Small Engine Service Agent to join our team in Broome. This is a hands‐on, customer‐facing role that combines retail and trade sales with servicing and maintenance of small engines and equipment.
No two days will be the same—this role suits someone who thrives in a hands‐on, team‐based environment. This position requires the ability to work every second Saturday morning.
RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE
Prior experience with hardware, small engines or within the building industry is essential. The role is well suited to someone with confidence who enjoys working with people.
* Respond to sales and service enquiries on parts, servicing and repairs to our retail and trade customers
* Liaise with customers to provide technical advice and recommendations on outdoor power equipment - helping their equipment run safely and reliably
* Complete service and repairs for small engines (including Honda & Stihl)
* Hardware sales, stock movement and replenishment
* Maintain strong housekeeping standards and store presentation
* Process customer orders and enquiries via phone and email
* Prepare accurate quotes for customer orders
* Working across different areas of the store
* Participate in regular product training and development with market leading brands
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
* Experience with or interest in mechanics
* Ability to explain technical information in a customer‐friendly way
* Practical, customer focussed and solutions driven
* Looking for new learning opportunities to expand your current skill set
* Exceptional attention to detail coupled with high level of accuracy
* Previous experience in cash handling and point of sale
* Computer literate and ability to learn new systems quickly
* Excellent communication skills and an enjoyment of working with people
* Genuine commitment to Safety and Company values
* Manual Vehicle Licence
* Forklift Licence (LF) Advantageous
