**The Company**

This market leading Wholesale/Distribution business based in the Southeast suburbs of Melbourne is the biggest player in its sector and is undergoing a very exciting growth phase, aiming to double its turnover in the next 3-5 years. With a cutting edge, newly constructed office, this national company has a long and proud history in Australia and is a trusted household name. The business has grown rapidly due to recent acquisitions into other categories, while also expanding their distribution networks across Australia and is now exporting to overseas markets.

**The Role**

To start ASAP, this full-time or part time temp role (approx. 3+ months) is a fantastic opportunity to get your foot in the door of a genuine blue-chip company and a large finance team. The team is undergoing change with acquisitions and organic growth and need an Accounts/AP go-getter to assist the Finance Manager work through a backlog of work in AP, with main focus upon coding invoices to their correct cost centre and addressing invoicing anomalies.

The position could also be part time 4 days per week and could accommodate someone with the school run working 9-3pm each day. Intermediate excel skills (vlook ups/pivots) and an ability to problem solve will be key in being successful in the role. Reporting to Finance Manager, your primary duties will comprise of:

- AP Invoicing
- Maintaining payables ledger
- Identify and correct AP invoice anomalies.
- High volume Manual G/L coding of invoices
- G/L coding invoices to correct cost centres/Manufacturing lines
- Vendor maintenance
- Ad hoc tasks as required

**About You**

A team player and self-starter, you will be highly competent across general Accounts and AP and have a great working attitude, with a flexible and positive approach to work.
- Min 1-2 + years' experience in a similar Accounts Payable Officer or similar position
- High attention to detail
- Ability to work quickly and accurately to deadlines
- Ability to work autonomously
- Good working knowledge of Excel and a large ERP System (SAP, Oracle, Dynamix, Great Plains, JDE etc)
