THE OPPORTUNITY
You will be part of the core management team at the Gold Coast's most awarded modern Asian restaurant, reporting directly to the Restaurant Manager. You'll have a seat at the leadership table where decisions are made, standards are set, and culture is shaped.
As Senior Supervisor, you own two critical pillars of our operation: service excellence and team development. You'll be instrumental in leading 200+ cover services while simultaneously building the capability of a 40+ person front-of-house team. You're not just running shifts - you're crafting the next generation of hospitality professionals and maintaining the standards that earned us 13 Hats.

WHY THIS ROLE IS UNLIKE MOST SUPERVISOR POSITIONS
This role uniquely combines operational command and training authority—you'll help lead high-volume service while designing the programs that develop our 40+ person team, a rare dual responsibility that builds comprehensive leadership capability. As a core management team member reporting directly to the Restaurant Manager, you'll have genuine influence over operational decisions, service standards, and strategic direction, not just execute them. You'll do this within an award-winning institution (13 Hats, 2 Wine Bottles) in a newly renovated, architecturally stunning venue, working alongside culinary and beverage teams at the pinnacle of their craft.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Service Leadership
· Lead front-of-house operations during high-volume service periods with authority and precision
· Orchestrate seamless service across multiple dining environments simultaneously
· Make real-time operational decisions that impact guest experience and revenue
· Handle VIP guests, service recovery, and escalations with diplomatic excellence
· Set the standard through your own execution - the team follows because you're better at this
Training & Standards
· Support comprehensive training programs for all front-of-house staff
· Train and coach on service standards, protocols, and sequence of service
· Conduct service audits and provide coaching that actually changes performance
· Build capability in areas like wine service, cuisine knowledge, and guest psychology
Team Development
· Mentor team members through structured development plans and one-on-one coaching
· Identify high-potential staff and accelerate their growth trajectory
· Deliver pre-shift briefings that elevate team knowledge and focus
· Provide performance feedback that's specific, actionable, and developmental
· Foster "Our House" culture - where every team member takes pride in representation
· Champion continuous improvement mindset across the entire FOH team
Leadership Team Participation - You Influence Strategy
· Participate in management meetings with Group Restaurant Manager and venue leadership
· Contribute to operational strategy, service evolution, and standard refinement
· Provide insights on team capability, training needs, and performance trends
· Support recruitment by assessing candidates and making hiring recommendations
· Represent front-of-house perspective in cross-departmental planning
WHAT YOU BRING
Proven Leadership Experience
· Experience in a premium hospitality with 2+ years in senior supervisory or junior management capacity
· Demonstrated success leading teams in award-winning, fine dining, or premium establishments
· Track record of developing staff and improving team performance
