We're looking for an IT Field Support and Fit Outs Technician to join our dynamic team at Viva Leisure. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who loves solving technical challenges in the field and ensuring smooth IT operations across multiple sites. You'll take charge of installing, configuring, and supporting IT infrastructure during new site fit outs and refurbishments, keeping everything running seamlessly. In this role, you'll also support the IT team with on-site technical tasks for new club openings, refurbishments, and ongoing maintenance — including cabling work and ensuring critical systems such as door access, security cameras, digital displays, and Wi-Fi are fully operational. If you're a proactive, technically skilled problem solver with strong coordination abilities and thrive in a fast-paced environment, this is the role for you.
This opportunity is available in Sydney or Melbourne.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with:
Essential
* Demonstrated experience in a similar IT support role
* General understanding of IT infrastructure, including networks, cabling, and hardware setup
* Proven ability to complete on-site work orders across multiple locations
* Comfortable working independently while collaborating with a broader team
* Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with site teams and contractors
* Reliable and detail-oriented, with a positive, can-do attitude
* Experience working on construction sites or similar environments
* Current Asbestos Awareness certification
* White Card (General Construction Induction Training)
* Current Driver's Licence
* First Aid and CPR certification
* Working with Vulnerable People check (or willingness to obtain)
Desirable
* Open Cabling Licence or similar certification
* Elevated Work Platform (EWP) Yellow Card
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Assisting with the installation and setup of IT infrastructure for new and refurbished sites
* Providing on-site IT support, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues
* Working from work orders and checklists to complete tasks across multiple club locations
* Collaborating with contractors and team members to complete IT components of site fit-outs
* Supporting IT equipment rollouts, relocations, and minor upgrades
* Ensuring systems are correctly configured and operational after installation
* Maintaining clear documentation and reporting updates to the Projects or IT team
* Overseeing the functionality and maintenance of IT systems and equipment across club and HQ locations, including door access control, security cameras, digital signage (TV screens), Wi-Fi access points, and other network-connected devices
