* HEO7 - $103,171 - $113,495 + 17% superannuation

About the position

The Online Learning Specialist is based within the Library Learning Services (LLS) team. The role supports strategic initiatives aimed at improving library-related online learning environments for Library users. This role supports the implementation of the Library's Digital Action Plan within Library Learning Services, with a focus on creating accessible, evidence-based online learning resources and interfaces that support student success applying a Universal Design for Learning (UDL) lens.

Working collaboratively across campuses, teams and disciplines, the Online Learning Specialist contributes to the development and delivery of accessible learning environments and content. The position supports the goal of creating barrier‐free participation in university life through innovative and accessible digital learning experiences.

This position will supervise two direct reports working across locations and reports to the Manager, Digital and Frontline Services.

Skills and Experience

To be considered for this position, you will have

* A postgraduate degree with subsequent relevant experience; or extensive experience and specialist expertise; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and training.
* Demonstrated experience in tertiary teaching or advising, with the ability to identify and respond to the learning needs of diverse student cohorts, particularly those undertaking online learning.
* Experience designing student‐facing digital resources with attention to usability and accessibility. Awareness of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) guidelines.
* Project management experience, particularly in designing inclusive digital learning resources for Learning Management System environments.
* Experience applying user experience (UX) design principles to the development of support resources or services.
* Experience in curriculum co‐design or course development with a focus on embedding academic literacies for online cohorts.
* Understanding of digital literacy frameworks and ethical use of GenAI in education.
