Support Worker Opportunity
The role of a support worker is to provide tailored assistance to individuals with various disabilities, focusing on psychosocial, physical, and intellectual needs. This position is available on the Sunshine Coast as a casual/part-time opportunity.
We seek reliable and flexible professionals with experience in disability support, mental health, or community services to join our team. The ideal candidate will be compassionate and dedicated, with a patient approach.
Job Responsibilities
* Providing emotional and practical support to individuals with diverse needs
* Supporting daily activities and promoting community access for participants
* Encouraging social participation and engagement among clients
* Assisting with personal development, life skills, and independent living for participants
* Implementing positive behavior strategies as guided by professionals
* Building strong relationships with participants based on trust and understanding
Requirements
* Experience in disability support, mental health, or community services
* Understanding of psychosocial disabilities and trauma-informed care principles
* Compassionate and patient approach to supporting individuals with varying needs
* Reliable, flexible, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
* Current NDIS Worker Screening Check and Blue Card (or willingness to obtain)
* First Aid and CPR Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
* Driver's license and reliable vehicle for transportation purposes
