The Opportunity
This is a superb opportunity to join a rapidly growing FMCG start-up committed to building a more sustainable and ethical food system. Operating in a supportive and collaborative culture, this is a high-impact, commercially focused role where you will partner closely with the CFO, Head of Supply Chain & Manufacturing, and the broader leadership team.
As the key conduit between finance and operations, you will play a critical role in driving cost performance, improving visibility, and supporting strategic decision-making across manufacturing and supply chain.
The Challenge
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer and supporting the Head of Manufacturing:
* Lead the annual manufacturing and supply chain budgeting process
* Own standard costing across all SKUs, including detailed variance analysis
* Track and analyse warehouse, freight, and logistics costs (fixed and variable)
* Deliver weekly insights on cost performance, trends, and risks
* Partner with site stakeholders to manage costs against budget and forecast
* Support capital investment decisions through robust business case development
* Lead analysis and insights on inventory management and optimisation
* Support Sales and Marketing with financial analysis, identifying risks and opportunitiesPerform year-end close activities relating to inventory, freight, and logistics
The Expertise
We're looking for someone who brings both technical strength and commercial curiosity:
* Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
* 6+ years' experience in a commercial finance or business partnering role
* Background in FMCG, manufacturing, or consumer goods is essential
* Strong experience in standard costing and variance analysis
* Familiarity with well-known ERP systems
* Excellent communication skills with demonstrated ability to influence non-finance stakeholders
* Proactive, hands‐on approach with an ability to driving outcomes
