Associate Director, Corporate Consulting
Commercial & Legal (C&L Accounting) in Adelaide is a boutique accounting and advisory service provider, offering a range of financial solutions including compliance services, tax advisory, consulting, bookkeeping, and business support tailored to individuals, agribusinesses and small to medium-sized enterprises. The firm employs high calibre professionals focused on delivering personalised and meaningful accounting, taxation and consulting advice. The accounting practice accommodates nearly 60 staff in their recently renovated industrial styled Adelaide offices with a smaller but rapidly growing presence in Perth also emerging.
Reporting to the Director of Corporate Consulting this is an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse range of corporate consulting projects, applying strong analytical skills and commercial insight to deliver meaningful outcomes for clients. You will play a key role in driving the firm’s corporate consulting initiatives and supporting the growth of the Corporate Consulting Division by building and refining financial models, budgets, and forecasts, analysing performance through dashboards and KPIs, and delivering clear, actionable insights. The role also involves hands‑on involvement in financial and vendor due diligence, acquisitions, divestments, capital raisings, and post‑transaction integration, as well as preparing management accounts, consolidated results, and board‑level reporting while ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong blend of technical expertise, commercial insight, and leadership capability. You will bring extensive accounting knowledge supported by broad business acumen, with proven experience in a deal or transaction environment and a background in business consulting or a senior finance reporting/analyst role. You will have well‑developed leadership and supervision skills, with the ability to coach and motivate others, contribute to business development initiatives, and communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders. Strong research capability and the ability to apply knowledge in a practical, client‑focused environment are essential. This role requires a Bachelor of Business or equivalent, CA or CPA qualification, and a minimum of seven years’ relevant experience.
