Our client is a well-regarded and award-winning firm on the Gold Coast seeking an experienced Senior Associate / Special Counsel to join their Family Law team.
About the role
You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of matters across all aspects of family law. You will also support and mentor members of the team, taking on a true leadership role at the firm. Day-to-day duties will involve:
- Managing the current team and strategising future growth.
- Providing expert advice on family law matters (including complex property and children's matters).
- Drafting advice, court documents and correspondence to clients, solicitors and other stakeholders.
- Attending client conferences, mediations and trials.
Skills & Experience
You will have extensive experience in family law (including property and children's matters), and bring:
- the ability to mentor and lead lawyers in a team.
- post-admission experience as a Senior Associate, Special Counsel or Partner in Family Law.
- experience appearing and instructing Counsel on matters.
- Drive to step-in to a true leadership position.
- Strong drafting, communication and advocacy skills.
While the firm is based on the Gold Coast, they are also open to candidates who need to be based in Brisbane or interstate.
