We are looking for someone who is motivated, reliable, and keen to learn. This role starts in our Newcastle (Rutherford) workshop as a Level 1 Service Technician, with ongoing training and upskilling provided to develop you into a fully qualified Level 3 Service Technician working on customer sites. You bring the right attitude, we'll provide the rest.

The Role

As part of the Newcastle team, your role will begin in our workshop, where you'll learn the fundamentals of inspecting, assembling, testing and maintaining lifting, rigging and height safety equipment. Initially, this is a Monday to Friday workshop‐based position. As you complete training and are assessed as competent, you will transition into site‐based work, including occasional overnight travel (with allowances and penalty rates).

A Snapshot Of The Role Includes
* Assembly, inspection, testing, service, installation of hoisting and rigging systems and height safety equipment.
* General workshop duties, including maintaining a clean workshop.
* Maintaining records in testing and ERP software.
* Day‐to‐day activities of stock management (goods receiving, unloading, picking, packing, despatching, stock control, and quality assurance).

What we are looking for – Must Haves
* Comfortable in a physical role (lifting, standing, working with tools in accordance with WHS procedures) in indoor and outdoor environments.
* Willing to learn and follow procedures.
* Reliable and punctual.
* A current driver's licence (provisional or working towards full licence acceptable if you can reliably get to work. You will require an unrestricted licence as you progress).
* You are willing to undergo pre‐employment medical screening, including drug and alcohol screening.
* You have the legal right to work in Australia on a full time, permanent basis.
What we are looking for – Nice to Have
* Experience in construction, manufacturing, industrial or similar environments.
* Exposure to lifting, rigging, height safety or mechanical systems.
* First Aid Certificate.

* You are comfortable learning digital systems.
* Detail‐oriented with strong attention to accuracy, particularly when recording serial numbers and equipment data.

* You know how to make things happen – you are adaptable and able to find solutions.
* You are far‐sighted – understanding the impact of your actions on the future and acting to prevent future issues.
* You are good to work with – considerate, professional, and courteous towards others.
