About the Role
We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Senior Residential Care Worker to join our team in Geraldton. As a live-in carer, you will play a vital role in supporting up to 4 children or young people with complex needs and challenging behaviours.
The ideal candidate will have significant experience working in disability residential and therapeutic settings, with a strong focus on providing trauma-informed support. You will be responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment that fosters independence and development.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Providing 24/7 care, support, and supervision to up to 4 children or young people
* Developing and implementing individualised support plans tailored to each child's needs
* Maintaining accurate records and documentation
* Cooking, cleaning, washing, and managing household tasks
* Transporting children to school and activities
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A relevant degree or diploma qualification
* Experience in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) and Children and Residential Experiences (CARE)
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment
* Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced setting
