selectability is looking for passionate and motivated Youth Workers to join our growing team Our youth residential program provides accommodation and intensive support to children and young people with a variety of needs.
As a Youth Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting our children and young people to live their best lives. You should bring a genuine passion and commitment to make a difference in their lives. Children and young people may have high to complex needs, and selectability aims to promote consistent and stable teams to support their recovery.
About You
To be successful, you must:
* possess clear and effective communication skills
* demonstrate computer literacy and accuracy in record management
* be able to follow policies and procedures
* work effectively with culturally and linguistically diverse communities and individuals
* be flexible to work across a 24/7 roster
Role Requirements
* have a minimum of Cert IV qualification recognized under the child safety standards (or be willing to study)
* possess certification in Hope and Healing for residential care (or be able to obtain it)
* hold a current P1 "C" class Queensland driver's license
* own a registered, roadworthy, and fully insured vehicle
* hold First Aid and CPR certificates (or be able to obtain them)
* obtain a Positive Notice Working with Children (blue card)
* obtain NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
* complete NDIS Worker Orientation Module 'Quality, Safety & You'
