The Opportunity
As the Senior People Data Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of fit-for-purpose people data, reporting and analytics to meet the needs of the People function and MinRes. This role ensures the accuracy, reliability and accessibility of people data, enabling informed decision-making and strategic workforce planning. Through stakeholder collaboration and continuous improvement, the Senior People Data Analyst elevates people analytics capability to align with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain people analytics dashboards and reporting
* Provide expert input and review into the design and implementation of all changes to people dashboards and reporting, ensuring consistency and alignment to design principles and standards
* Deliver transactional, cyclical, and adhoc reporting data requests as required by the business
* Delivery of advanced analysis, models, and actionable insights to inform people strategies
* Document technical reporting processes, data definitions, and analytical methodologies
* Provide continuous improvement to data quality, governance, and integration processes across people systems
* Develop, monitor and maintain data interfaces, troubleshoot integration issues, and optimise workflows to support effective and reliable data exchange
* Drive the integrity of people data by implementing robust validation processes and supporting internal and external auditing requirements
* Engage and collaborate with the People teams and business stakeholders to shape and deliver analytics solutions aligned with business priorities
* Support People teams and leaders in embedding people analytics tools and insights into operational decision making
* Support the incremental maturity of people reporting and analytics, aligned with business objectives
* Act as a key contributor to MinRes strategic reporting and analytics objectives, ensuring people insights and priorities are embedded in all relevant initiatives
Your Experience and Skills
* Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Commerce, Technology or related discipline (highly regarded)
* Proficient use of statistical analysis tools and software (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Azure Synapse, Power BI or equivalent). Power BI Data Analyst Associate Microsoft PL300 certification highly regarded
* Demonstrated experience in the use of data integration tools and techniques (e.g. ETL processes, APIs, middleware)
* Previous experience using people systems such as PageUp, SAP SuccessFactors, Workforce Software, Culture Amp, and Spinifex (advantageous)
* Experience designing, developing and optimising data pipelines using Databricks and/or Microsoft Fabric, including Lakehouse architecture and end to end data workflows
* Strong data analytics skills and advanced capability in Microsoft Excel and Power Query
* Demonstrated high level of analytical and problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with the ability to explain technical concepts in non-technical terms
