Our organisation supports older people who live alone or have few social connections to help improve their well-being. Our programs match those not in regular social contact with people with caring and friendly volunteers. This role involves personal visiting, including social conversations and can include social outings and group activities. This is a Commonwealth-funded Aged Care Program with no charges to the client. This role is available in locations around Cessnock and surrounding suburbs.
Develop social skills, connect to the community, grow confidence and independence, expand friendships and social networks, gain experience within the Community Services sector, and share experiences that comfort and inspire others.
Training on the support software and short course on Elder support services specifics.
