At WestSide Community Lawyers, we believe access to justice is a fundamental human right. As a not-for-profit legal centre, we provide high-quality legal services to vulnerable and disadvantaged communities across Adelaide's western suburbs and the Mid-North & Outback regions.
We're more than just lawyers—we're advocates, educators, and changemakers. Supported by Commonwealth and State Government funding, we deliver free legal assistance across Family Law, Civil Law, Criminal Law, and Community Legal Education.
We also offer attractive salary packaging options of up to $18,550 pre-tax per FBT year.
The Opportunity
We are seeking passionate Senior Family Lawyer/Lawyers who are ready to lead with compassion, advocate with conviction, and bring deep expertise to a team that's making a difference every day. You’ll work across a mix of property and parenting matters, delivering meaningful outcomes for clients who need it most. Senior candidates will also play a key role in mentoring and supporting junior lawyers.

What You'll Do
Deliver high-quality legal advice and casework in family law matters.
Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings.
Participate in outreach clinics and community legal education programs.
For senior roles: supervise and mentor junior lawyers and contribute to team development.
Maintain accurate client records and comply with organisational policies.
Collaborate with colleagues and external service providers to ensure holistic client support.
What You'll Bring
Admission to practice in South Australia and eligibility for a Category C Practising Certificate.
Family Lawyer: Minimum 2 years' post-admission experience in family law.
Senior Family Lawyer: Minimum 5 years' post-admission experience in family law.
Strong advocacy, negotiation, and communication skills.
Ability to manage complex files independently while contributing to a team.
A trauma-informed, compassionate approach to working with vulnerable clients.
Current South Australian driver's licence and full working rights in Australia.
