A leading independent Australian law firm is recruiting a 3rd to 4th year Associate to join its Corporate team in Sydney or Melbourne.

The role
The Corporate team advises founders, boards, private capital and major corporates on complex, high‐value transactions. Associates can expect meaningful responsibility and close partner engagement across a broad range of matters, including:
* Public and private mergers and acquisitions
* Strategic investments and divestments
* Capital raisings and equity transactions
* Corporate advisory and governance work
You will work directly with senior lawyers and partners, gaining early client exposure and developing strong commercial judgement alongside technical depth.
About you
You will have:
* 3 to 4 years' PQE in Corporate M&A from a leading national or international firm
* Strong technical foundations and a genuine interest in complex transactional work
* The ability to manage elements of matters with increasing autonomy
* Strong communication skills and a collaborative working style
* An interest in building trusted client relationships over time
